Moving Forward

Updated: Aug 20, 2020

The NeighborLink Indianapolis Board of Directors met at the end of May and approved a plan to restart client service activities after the Covid-19 pause. A series of new safety related procedures will be put in place for the safety of our clients, volunteers and group activities. The re-start will be a gradual process between now and July and be consistent with state and federal health agency guidelines. Our mission remains the same; while the pandemic may create obstacles, NeighborLink Indy will continue to help our seniors remain safely in their own homes.

Thank you very much to those generous donors who have supported Neighborlink during this rough start to 2020. It’s been a challenging year for everyone but especially so for our seniors. We fully anticipate an increased demand for home repair assistance as the pandemic precautions allow for more seniors to address problems with their homes. NeighborLink would like to be prepared to meet that need. Your donations allow us to have the needed tools, supplies, equipment, volunteers and professionals ready to go as requests come in.

2020 has been an unusual year with unique challenges for all of us. NeighborLink began this year by adding some new staff members to help with the increased demand for our services. We hope to make the organization both self-sustaining and capable of expanding services to as many seniors as possible. We have great hopes for this year and with your help we’ll be taking some large steps forward. More on that topic to follow.

Thank you for your support.
